SCA has officially launched the Heart Network, a significant addition to its national music offerings, now available on DAB+ and the LiSTNR platform. This new music brand features two distinct stations: Heart and Heart Hits. Both stations are designed for adults aged 25 to 54, aligning with contemporary listening trends.
Heart Network Stations
- Heart: Aimed primarily at a female audience, this station showcases a diverse range of music. It includes hits from the 70s, 80s, and current artists. Prominent names featured are Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez, and Taylor Swift.
- Heart Hits: Focusing on nostalgic tunes, this station brings back beloved tracks from the 70s to the 90s. Fans can enjoy music from iconic artists like Madonna, Lionel Richie, and Elton John.

Matthew O’Reilly, the Head of Broadcast Content at SCA, emphasized this launch as a expansion of the company’s already diverse music portfolio. He mentioned that Heart represents SCA’s entry into the adult contemporary format, which is exceptionally popular in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and London. O’Reilly noted, “Heart is built for listeners seeking a more personal and mood-based experience.”
SCA’s Digital Audio Strategy
The Heart Network aims to strengthen SCA’s position as the leading DAB+ network in Australia, which already boasts 1.3 million listeners. The LiSTNR platform, hosting the Heart Network, has over 2.4 million registered users and offers more than 50 curated music playlists. This initiative also includes a partnership with Foxtel, where 25 of LiSTNR’s playlists will be featured on their platform.
Station Ownership and Reach
SCA operates a robust network of 104 radio stations across various formats, including FM, AM, and DAB+. These stations fall under the popular brands Triple M and Hit. Additionally, SCA provides national sales representation for 56 regional radio stations, allowing it to reach over 9 million listeners nationwide.
