WWE Legend Mike Rotunda Enters Hospice Care

Barry Windham has called on fans to support his friend and former tag team partner, Mike Rotunda, during a challenging time. In an interview with Bill Apter on October 25, Windham shared that Rotunda is currently in hospice care, although he did not specify the nature of Rotunda’s illness.

Windham expressed his deep concern, saying, “It’s kind of tough right now. You know, Mike is in hospice right now. So, anyway, that family — I love that family. But, it’s so tragic.”

Understanding Hospice Care

Hospice care is an option usually recommended for patients with a life expectancy of six months or less. Its goal is to provide comfort, manage symptoms, and maintain quality of life.

The Legacy of Mike Rotunda

Mike Rotunda, known for his role as IRS in the WWF, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame along with Windham as part of the US Express in 2024. The duo left a significant mark on the wrestling landscape through their stints in WWF and WCW.

Family Ties

  • Rotunda is the father of WWE wrestlers Bo Dallas (Taylor Rotunda) and the late Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda).
  • His daughter, Mika, is also part of the family legacy in wrestling.

A Call for Support

In his heartfelt message, Windham asked fans to keep Rotunda in their thoughts and prayers, stating, “Well, it’s been a great ride. And I would like for you all to pray for Mike.”

As the wrestling community rallies behind Rotunda and his family, many reflect on the enduring impact he has made in the world of professional wrestling.
