A significant earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale struck Turkey on Monday night, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The seismic event occurred at 10:48 p.m. Eastern European time, approximately 8 kilometers southeast of the town of Sındırgı.

Following the earthquake, local authorities reported that four buildings collapsed in the town center of Sındırgı. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
