A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck near Napier, located in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. The seismic event occurred on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 1:08 AM local time.

The earthquake’s epicenter was recorded at a shallow depth of 24.10 kilometers. The New Zealand Earthquake Commission and Geological Survey (GeoNet) was the first to report the incident. Shortly after, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) confirmed the magnitude of 4.5.
