Critical Acclaim
In a review from Deadline, critic Damon Wise commended Aster for addressing pressing issues in contemporary America. He described “Eddington” as a crucial representation of events from just five years ago. Wise noted that the film addresses issues surrounding QAnon, 4Chan, and the Proud Boys, highlighting the societal damage these groups have inflicted.
He remarked, “Without ceremony or mercy, ‘Eddington’ rips the Band-Aid off, and not everyone is going to want to look at or think about what’s there underneath it.” This raw portrayal of modern challenges sets the film apart as a significant commentary on recent history.
