The beloved 1980s adventure film, The Goonies, has been creatively reimagined in Lego form. The iconic building set, consisting of 2,912 pieces, was officially unveiled by the brick toy company. This new set captures the essence of the film through intricate designs and nostalgic details.
The Goonies Lego Set Features
The Lego set is based on the pirate ship from The Goonies, offering fans a chance to recreate memorable scenes. Notable features include:

A total of twelve minifigures accompany the set, allowing builders to engage with their favorite characters. The figures include:

New elements have been created for characters such as Sloth and Mama Fratelli, enhancing the play experience. The dimensions of the set are 18 cm in width, 62 cm in length, and 36 cm in height.
Nostalgic Launch Event
During the announcement, Ke Huy Quan, who played Data in the original film, participated in a nostalgic mini-film. In this presentation, he guided viewers through the impressive Lego creation and spotlighted its hidden surprises. Quan recalled how the set’s reveal was a closely guarded secret, making the moment even more memorable for the cast.
Origins of the Lego Set
This Lego set originated from the Lego Ideas division, which allows fan-designed creations to be developed. Greece-based 3D artist Vaggelis Ntezes, known as Delusion Brick, submitted the design. Ntezes expressed his childhood nostalgia, combining memories of playing with Lego Pirates and the excitement of The Goonies.
Availability and Price
The Goonies Lego set will have early access starting on November 1, 2023, and will be widely available in stores from November 4, 2023. The retail price is set at $309.99.

Customers who purchase The Goonies Lego set before the end of November will receive an additional bonus set: LEGO Ideas The Goonies: The Walsh’ Attic. This smaller 179-piece set features:
