HGTV Renews ‘House Hunters’ and ‘International’ for 400 New Episodes

The network has announced a significant renewal for its popular programs, House Hunters and House Hunters International, totaling 400 new episodes through 2026. Launched 25 years ago, the House Hunters franchise continues to thrive, drawing in over 13 million viewers each month. The renewal underscores HGTV’s strategy to enhance its lineup while maintaining beloved formats that resonate with its audience.

New Developments in Programming

In addition to the House Hunters renewal, HGTV is introducing several fresh series:

  • Botched Homes: This reality series features contractor Charlie Kawas, who transitions from New York City to Florida to repair poorly executed renovations. It is set to premiere in 2026.
  • Neighborhood Watch: A new series documenting home surveillance footage, produced by Arrow Media, will also debut next year. HGTV has commissioned 16 episodes of this unique concept.
  • World’s Bargain Dream Homes: This series focuses on ambitious home buyers looking to secure great deals, produced by Twenty Twenty Television.
  • Property Brothers: Under Pressure: Drew and Jonathan Scott return to the forefront with 14 new episodes, where they assist buyers dealing with commitment challenges related to significant purchases. This series is produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment.

Commitment to Quality Programming

Howard Lee, chief creative officer of U.S. Networks at Warner Bros. Discovery, emphasized the network’s intent with this programming order. He stated that HGTV aims to deliver trusted formats that consistently generate strong ratings while also introducing innovative concepts and new talent.

House Hunters is produced by Pie Town Productions, whereas its spin-off, House Hunters International, is developed by Leopard USA. Together, these productions highlight HGTV’s dedication to engaging both loyal fans and attracting fresh audiences.
