Biden, who will celebrate his 83rd birthday next month, finished several weeks of radiation therapy on a Monday at Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology in Philadelphia. A spokesperson confirmed these details to CBS News.
On October 11, his office revealed that Biden had been undergoing this treatment for several weeks. Following his final session, he participated in the traditional ritual of ringing a bell, symbolizing progress in cancer treatment. Kelly Scully, Biden’s spokeswoman, noted, “He rang the bell today.”
Family Support and Encouragement
His daughter, Ashley Biden, shared a brief video on Instagram depicting her father ringing the bell. She expressed gratitude towards the medical team, stating, “Thank you to the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff at Penn Medicine. We are so grateful!”
