Huskers Impress in Scrimmage Against Mizzou on Nebraska Athletics Site

The Nebraska women’s basketball team showcased a strong performance in their recent scrimmage against Missouri. The match took place at Johnson County Community College near Kansas City, providing an opportunity for the Huskers to face outside competition.
Key Performers in the Scrimmage
Leading the Huskers was Jessica Petrie, who scored a game-high 23 points. The junior forward shot an impressive 8-of-11 from the field, hitting three three-pointers and finishing 4-for-4 at the free throw line.
Petra Bozan, another standout performer, contributed 18 points, including two three-pointers. The forward’s notable performance in the third quarter helped the Huskers erupt for a 16-2 run.
Support from Sophomores
The Huskers’ sophomore players also made significant contributions. Britt Prince, with 12 points, six rebounds, and five assists, continued to demonstrate her talents. Newcomer Claire Johnson, a transfer from Paducah, Ky., added 12 points as well, with four of those coming from three-pointers.

Team Dynamics and Strategy
Callin Hake, the only senior, facilitated the offense effectively. She scored six points and recorded a game-high 12 assists. The team’s outstanding passing led to a remarkable 27 assists overall, and they successfully hit 15 of 26 three-pointers.
Freshmen Alanna Neale and Kennadi Williams contributed as well, with five and four points respectively. The collective effort resulted in Nebraska scoring over 100 points in their victory over Missouri.
Upcoming Exhibition
Looking ahead, Nebraska is set to host Mount Marty for their only exhibition of the season. The game will take place on Friday, October 24, at Pinnacle Bank Arena, with a tip-off scheduled for 8 p.m. (CT).
