This Saturday’s match coincides with the annual Red, White and Black Day parade. Over 500 local students and community members will participate in this event, celebrating unity and inclusion. The parade demonstrates the club’s commitment to these values, a tradition that has been integral for over 30 years.
The parade, organized with the Charlton Athletic Community Trust and the University of Greenwich, will start at Charlton Station and end at The Valley. Paul Elliott CBE MBE, the club’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead, will lead the parade.
Mark Kinsella Pre-Match Presentation
Legendary Addicks player Mark Kinsella will be honored before the match. Kinsella made 223 appearances for the club between 1996 and 2002, scoring 23 goals. He captained the team to a memorable play-off final victory in 1998 and was named Supporters’ Player of the Year twice. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to show their appreciation during this presentation.
New Big Screen Debut
Saturday’s game will be the first for the men’s first team to feature the new big screen, installed during the October international break. This larger screen offers higher resolution than the previous version.
While new LED digiboards will not be ready for this match, they are expected to be installed shortly thereafter.
