CeeDee Lamb Confirms Ankle is Ready for Return to Play

CeeDee Lamb is set to make his long-awaited return to the field after battling an ankle injury. The Dallas Cowboys’ star receiver missed three games due to a high left ankle sprain but is ready to play against the Washington Commanders this Sunday.

CeeDee Lamb’s Recovery

Lamb had previously suffered a shoulder injury last season and missed two games. His recent ankle injury prevented him from participating in the last three matchups. Despite his limitations during Thursday’s practice, Lamb expressed confidence in his recovery.

Playing with Assurance

“I feel like I’m moving around, running around, being me,” Lamb stated. He emphasized his relief in being able to trust his ankle again: “I feel like it’s back to where I needed it to be.”

Career Milestones

Before his injury in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, Lamb achieved impressive statistics, including two 100-yard receiving games in the first two matches of the season. He is only 51 scrimmage yards away from reaching a significant career milestone of 7,000 yards.

Context of His Absence

  • Lamb played a total of 84 career games.
  • He mentioned that missing games has fueled his desire to compete: “Why I’m hungry is me missing time and doing what I love.”

While Lamb was sidelined, teammates stepped up. George Pickens recorded two 100-yard games and four touchdowns in Lamb’s absence. Meanwhile, quarterback Dak Prescott excelled, throwing ten touchdowns without any interceptions during the three games that Lamb could not play.

Now, with the Cowboys gearing up for their next match, fans are eager to see Lamb back in action and contributing to the team’s success.
