Gunfire Targets Kapil Sharma’s Canadian Cafe Again

Gunfire targeted Kapil Sharma’s Kaps Cafe in Surrey, Canada, for the third time within four months. This recent incident occurred late Wednesday.
Details of the Incident
The attackers, identified as gangsters Goldy Dhillon and Kuldeep Sidhu, are affiliated with mob leader Lawrence Bishnoi. They announced their involvement through a social media post shortly after the incident.
Video Evidence
A video was shared online, capturing a man firing at least half a dozen shots from a handgun. The footage, shaky and filmed from inside a vehicle, clearly depicts the act of gunfire directed at the cafe.
Warnings from the Perpetrators
- The attackers warned the public to maintain distance from them.
- In their post, they claimed responsibility for three separate shootings at Kaps Cafe.
- They directed threats towards individuals involved in “illegal work” and those who “speak against religion in Bollywood.”
Previous Incidents
This latest shooting follows two earlier attacks. On August 8, at least 25 shots were fired, and a voice in the attached video indicated a prior attempt to contact the intended target. Increased security around Sharma’s residence in Mumbai was a direct response to this warning.
The first attack occurred on July 10, with staff present but no injuries reported. At least 10 bullets struck the cafe’s window. A member of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), recognized as a terrorist group by the Canadian government, claimed responsibility for this initial shooting. Harjit Singh Laddi, associated with the BKI, is on the National Investigation Agency’s wanted list.
