Anthropic has unveiled Claude Haiku 4.5, its latest small-scale AI model. This new version aims to deliver performance comparable to Sonnet 4, but at a lower cost and increased speed. According to a company blog post, Haiku 4.5 operates at one-third the price and more than double the speed of its bigger counterpart, Sonnet 4.5.

It also scored 41% on the Terminal-Bench, which focuses on command-line tasks. While these results may trail behind Sonnet 4.5, Haiku 4.5 competes effectively with Sonnet 4, GPT-5, and Gemini 2.5.
