Tennessee Titans Fire Head Coach Brian Callahan After Disappointing NFL Start

The Tennessee Titans have parted ways with head coach Brian Callahan after a challenging start to the NFL season. This decision comes as the Titans currently sit at the bottom of the American Football Conference (AFC) Southern Division standings.

Titans’ Struggles This Season

After six games, the Titans recorded just one victory, while suffering five losses. Their most recent defeat was a 20-10 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, which marked Callahan’s final game as head coach.

Leadership Comments

Chad Brinker, the president of football operations for the Titans, expressed his appreciation for Callahan. He described him as a person of “great character.” Brinker stated, “These decisions are never easy.”

He highlighted the importance of achieving a competitive standard for the team. “Our players, fans, and community deserve a football team that achieves a standard we are not currently meeting,” Brinker added.

Looking Ahead

The Titans are committed to making difficult decisions to improve the team’s performance. Last season, the organization finished with the worst record in the NFL. They held the first overall pick in the 2025 draft, during which they selected quarterback Cam Ward.

This change in leadership reflects the Titans’ goal to enhance their competitive edge as they aim to turn around their current trajectory in the league.
