Packers Kicker Brandon McManus Out with Quadriceps Injury vs. Bengals

Green Bay Packers kicker Brandon McManus will miss the upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a quadriceps injury sustained during practice. The injury was incurred on Wednesday, leading to his absence being confirmed when he was listed among the Packers’ inactive players.

Lucas Havrisik Steps In

With McManus sidelined, the Packers have activated Lucas Havrisik from the practice squad. Havrisik, who played for the Los Angeles Rams earlier this season, had a respectable record. He successfully completed 15 of 20 field goals and 19 of 22 extra points across nine games.

Earlier in the year, he also contributed to the United Football League’s Dallas Renegades, where he achieved a remarkable 22 out of 25 on field-goal attempts.

Injury Updates

  • Brandon McManus: Suffered quadriceps injury, inactive for the Bengals game.
  • Kamal Hadden: Cornerback, also inactive.
  • Devonte Wyatt: Defensive lineman, dealing with a knee injury.
  • Anthony Belton: Offensive lineman, has an ankle issue.
  • Shemar Stewart: Bengals defensive end, out due to ankle injury.

Bengals Ready for Game

On the other side, the Bengals will have All-Pro wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase back in the lineup after he missed practice due to illness. His return is crucial as veteran quarterback Joe Flacco prepares for his debut with the team after being acquired from the Cleveland Browns just days before the game.

Flacco’s experience could be vital to the team’s strategy, especially with initial injury concerns surrounding some of their key players.

Bengals Inactive Players

  • Marco Wilson – Cornerback
  • Dylan Fairchild – Guard
  • Jermaine Burton – Wide Receiver
  • Cam Grandy – Tight End
  • Jordan Jefferson – Defensive Tackle

The Packers, currently holding a record of 2-1-1, will look to adjust their game plan without McManus as they face off against the Bengals. The matchup promises to be an intriguing clash, given the changes on both rosters.
