The run-out happened in the second over of the day. After hitting a delivery from Jayden Seales to mid-off, Jaiswal attempted a quick single. However, Shubman Gill, batting at the opposite end, declined the run due to a perceived risk. This led to Jaiswal not returning in time and ultimately being run out by West Indies wicketkeeper Tevin Imlach.

Contrarily, former West Indies opener Daren Ganga offered a different viewpoint. He believed that both Jaiswal and Gill shared responsibility for the run-out. “It’s a risk he shouldn’t have taken, especially being well set at the start of a new day,” said Ganga, suggesting Jaiswal felt confident about making the run.
Despite the unfortunate dismissal, Jaiswal remained the top scorer for India in the innings, showcasing his potential as a crucial player in the Test match series.
