This initiative has gained significant traction, amassing nearly 70,000 signatures on a petition started by Dan Hudson.

Hudson presented his case during a recent meeting of the Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. He highlighted the importance of Osbourne, noting, “Heavy metal was invented in this area by a man named Ozzy Osbourne in the late 1960s.” He emphasized that the genre resonates globally and has influenced countless music fans through generations.
Historic Milestones
Osbourne passed away at the age of 76 in July. Notably, just three weeks before his death, he performed at Villa Park in a concert that set a record and raised approximately £140 million for various charities.
