RAF Cosford Air Show: Pilots Fulfill Dream with Thrilling Flights

The RAF Cosford Air Show is set to attract around 50,000 attendees this year. This annual event will feature impressive displays, including the debut of three newly acquired aircraft from the RAF Museum. Showcasing the Hawk, Reaper, and Puma, these aircraft will be a highlight for aviation enthusiasts.

Exciting Performances at the RAF Cosford Air Show

On Sunday, glider pilot Bradley Lefley-Kemp will take to the skies. At just 22 years old, he has expressed that flying at the show is a “huge honour” and a “dream come true.” Currently serving as an aircraft mechanic technician apprentice, Lefley-Kemp is training at RAF Cosford while flying with the RAF Shawbury Gliding Club.

From Dreams to Reality

Lefley-Kemp’s journey in aviation began with a gliding experience that left him “instantly hooked.” He has since worked diligently to achieve display authorisation status. According to him, participating in the air show is a significant milestone in his budding career.

He hopes that his performance will highlight the capabilities of gliders and inspire more young people to consider gliding as a sport. As he stated, “I know it sounds very cliched, but these are the things you dream of, and you don’t actually think it’s going to become a reality.”

The RAF Cosford Air Show promises to be an exhilarating experience, offering a unique glimpse into the world of aviation and inspiring future generations. Visitors can look forward to witnessing thrilling flights and remarkable aircraft displays throughout the day.
