Philadelphia Woman Kada Scott Reported Harassed, Family Claims

Family members and police in Philadelphia are seeking public assistance in the search for 23-year-old Kada Scott. She was last seen after completing her overnight shift at The Terrace at Chestnut Hill on the evening of Saturday, leaving her job on East Abington Avenue.

Details Surrounding Scott’s Disappearance

Captain John Craig from the Northwest Detectives emphasized the urgency of the situation. Scott’s cell phone and social media accounts have shown no activity since her disappearance. Her mother, Kim Matthews, expressed her distress, stating, “I just need her to come home and be safe.” Matthews recalled seeing her daughter before her shift, which lasted from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Background on Kada Scott

Kada, a recent Penn State graduate, had just begun her role at the assisted living facility. Her mother described her as a creative individual with an artistic spirit. However, concerns have arisen due to reports of harassment that Scott had shared with family and friends days before her disappearance. Captain Craig mentioned that Scott had been receiving harassing phone calls from unknown individuals.

Search Efforts Underway

Police are treating Kada’s disappearance as a critical case, especially given the circumstances surrounding her last days. Detectives found her vehicle parked outside the facility, and the lack of surveillance cameras has complicated the investigation. The authorities are utilizing helicopters, K-9 units, and conducting interviews in the effort to locate her.

Community Involvement

The Philadelphia Police urge the community to assist in the search. “If there are 100 pieces to a puzzle, your piece might seem insignificant, but it’s crucial,” Captain Craig stated. The family has been actively distributing flyers featuring Kada’s photo in hope of getting tips.

Facility Response

The management of Bridge Senior Living, the organization that operates The Terrace at Chestnut Hill, has expressed their cooperation with law enforcement. They are committed to the safety of their staff and are hopeful for a favorable outcome.
