BP Pulse Launches First EV Charging Hub in Louisiana

BP Pulse has officially launched its first electric vehicle (EV) charging hub in Louisiana. The new facility is strategically located at a Travel Centers of America (TA) site in Slidell, off Interstate 10. This hub features 12 ultrafast charging bays equipped with a combination of CCS and NACS connectors.
Enhancing the Charging Experience
While charging, drivers can take advantage of amenities available at the travel center. A convenience store, an on-site diner, and restrooms are all accessible for customers. This new installation is part of BP Pulse’s broader strategy to establish EV charging hubs across various TA and Petro locations in the United States.
Strategic Expansion Plans
A spokesperson for BP Pulse highlighted the importance of location in their expansion. The sites are strategically positioned along key highway corridors to facilitate convenient charging for drivers on the go.
Recent Developments Across the U.S.
- Last month, BP Pulse opened an EV charging hub in Utah, near Salt Lake City International Airport. This site features 24 ultrafast charging bays with 400kW chargers.
- The Utah hub is located less than three miles from the airport and includes a mix of CCS and NACS connectors.
Other Retail Updates
In related industry news, Royal Farms is set to open a new location in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The grand opening is scheduled for June 29, following a preview event on June 24 and 25.
The new Royal Farms store will feature 16 fuel dispensers and will operate 24/7, enhancing service for local customers.
Yesway’s Expansion in Oklahoma
Meanwhile, Yesway is continuing its growth with a new Allsup’s store opening in Wagoner, Oklahoma. This location spans 6,277 square feet and also operates around the clock.
- The store will offer Allsup’s World Famous Burritos and various Yesway private-label snacks.
- Additional features include a beer cave, ATMs, and both digital and cryptocurrency ATMs.
This location will have 10 multi-product dispensers, five diesel lanes, and 17 truck parking spaces to accommodate a diverse range of customers.
Financial Performance of Yesway
In its latest financial report, Yesway announced a significant improvement in net income, reporting $30.2 million for Q1, up from a loss of $5.6 million in the previous year.
