Veteran Actor James Handy Stabbed to Death in Tarzana; Arrest Made

Los Angeles police are investigating the tragic stabbing death of veteran actor James Handy in Tarzana. The incident occurred at a residence on Erwin Street, where Handy, aged 81, was fatally wounded. Initial reports indicate that the suspect is the son of Handy’s girlfriend, a 44-year-old man named Michael Gledhill.
Details of the Incident
The incident took place on Wednesday morning around 9:30 a.m. Responding officers were alerted by a peculiar 911 call from Gledhill. He reportedly stated, “I am the son of man. I just killed the man of sin.” Upon arrival, police discovered Handy in the front yard, unconscious, and suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
Emergency Response
Paramedics transported Handy to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Gledhill flagged down the responding officers, admitting to the stabbing and indicating he was the suspect they were seeking. He was arrested and subsequently booked on suspicion of murder at the Van Nuys Jail. His bail was set at $2 million.
