LEGO’s 12,060-Piece Sagrada Família Set Breaks Size Records

LEGO has unveiled an impressive new addition to its architecture lineup: the 21065 Sagrada Família set. This set, consisting of a staggering 12,060 pieces, is set to become the largest LEGO set ever created.
Launch and Availability
The Sagrada Família set will officially launch on November 1, 2026. Enthusiasts can pre-order the model now through LEGO.com or at local LEGO stores. This allows fans to secure their purchase well ahead of the release date.
Design and Features
The 21065 Sagrada Família set beautifully replicates key elements of Antoni Gaudí’s architectural wonder. It features:
- 18 symbolic towers
- Three intricately designed façades
- A lush forest-like interior
With dimensions of over 24 inches (62 cm) high, 18.5 inches (47 cm) wide, and 15 inches (39 cm) deep, this model offers an immersive building experience that mirrors the actual construction of the basilica.
Building Experience
The assembly of this set reflects the real progression of the Sagrada Família’s construction. Builders will start with the foundational Apse and Crypt, then advance to Gaudí’s original Nativity façade, the dramatic Passion façade, and ultimately rise into the grand naves and six iconic towers.
The final stages involve constructing the Eastern Sacristy and the Glory façade, resulting in a cohesive and historical representation of the landmark.
Comparison to Other Sets
This new release draws similarities to the previous LEGO set, 21061 Notre-Dame de Paris, which allowed builders to construct the model in a near-chronological sequence. The design of 21065 Sagrada Família also accommodates collaborative building, enabling multiple participants to engage in this ambitious project together.
With the introduction of the 12,060-piece Sagrada Família, LEGO continues to expand its architectural offerings while honoring iconic structures throughout history. This monumental set is anticipated to attract both hardcore LEGO fans and architecture enthusiasts alike.
