Saskatoon Power Outage: SaskPower Strives to Restore Service

A significant power outage impacted residents of the east side of Saskatoon on Tuesday afternoon. The disruption occurred around 12:30 p.m. and left several neighborhoods without electricity.
SaskPower’s Response to the Outage
SaskPower confirmed that the outage affected numerous neighborhoods in Saskatoon, including:
- Arbor Creek
- Briarwood
- Brighton
- College Park East
- Erindale
- Evergreen
- Forest Grove
- Lakeridge
- Lakeview
- Lakewood
- Rosewood
- SE Development Area
- Silverspring
- Stonebridge
- Sutherland Industrial
- University Heights
- Wildwood
- Willowgrove
In addition, residents in rural areas to the east of Saskatoon were also affected. Towns such as Aberdeen, Prud’Homme, Clavet, and Bradwell experienced power outages.
Current Efforts to Restore Service
SaskPower has deployed crews to investigate the cause of the outage and estimate repair times. They are focusing on both the eastern neighborhoods of Saskatoon and the rural regions extending up to St. Denis and nearby areas.
The utility company is committed to restoring electrical service as quickly and safely as possible. Residents are encouraged to stay updated via SaskPower’s official channels as repairs progress.
