Impaired Driver Arrested by RNC After CBS Crash
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) recently apprehended an impaired driver following an accident in Conception Bay South. The incident took place on May 26, 2026, around 12:15 p.m.
Details of the Incident
Officers were alerted to a vehicle that had left the roadway near Topsail Road and Neils Line. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
Charges Filed
A 52-year-old female driver was subjected to a roadside screening, which she failed. Subsequently, the police charged her with:
- Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
- Refusing to provide a breath sample
Consequences of the Incident
The RNC seized her vehicle from the accident scene. Additionally, her driver’s license was suspended. Following her arrest, she was released from custody. The driver is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
