Four individuals have been arrested in connection with a significant fraud investigation that has revealed more than $4.5 million in alleged losses. This operation, conducted by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), targets fraudulent activities linked to real estate and vehicle rentals.

The SPVM initiated this investigation in 2023, focusing on approximately 20 incidents of suspected real estate fraud and vehicle rental scams. The arrests occurred on a Wednesday morning in Montreal and Quebec City, following warrants issued as part of the ongoing inquiry.
Targeting Vulnerable Homeowners

In addition to real estate fraud, one suspect faces charges related to vehicle rental scams. This individual is accused of using stolen identities and fraudulent lease agreements connected to a dealership in the Montérégie region.
