Court Hears Arson Suspect’s Refusal to Record Starmer Attack

A court case has emerged involving an arson suspect, identified as Lavrynovych, who is accused of setting a car on fire and damaging properties linked to Sir Keir Starmer. This week, witness testimonies provided crucial insights into the events surrounding the case.

Court Proceedings and Testimonies

During the proceedings, a key witness, Carpiuc, provided his account of the incident while using a Russian translator. Carpiuc recounted that Lavrynovych was allegedly promised payment by a mysterious entity referred to as “El Money” but he did not know the identity of the person behind it.

Timeline of Events

  • 8 May: Carpiuc was working at a hotel in west London from 9 PM.
  • 9 May: A car was set on fire during the night, which Carpiuc learned about from a frightened call from Pochynok.
  • 11-12 May 2025: Two additional fires were ignited at properties connected to Sir Keir Starmer.

Carpiuc reported that he received a phone call from Lavrynovych, who admitted to burning the car but claimed the fire had extinguished. Lavrynovych had previously testified that he acted under influence from an online account promising money for his actions.

Additional Charges Against Lavrynovych

In addition to the car fire, Lavrynovych faces charges for two property fires that occurred at addresses associated with Sir Keir Starmer. These incidents took place just days after the car fire in Islington and near Starmer’s rented property in Kentish Town.

Carpiuc asserts that he was not involved in any of the arson incidents on 11 and 12 May, stating he was out socializing with friends during both nights.

The trial is ongoing, and the court has yet to reach a final verdict on Lavrynovych’s alleged actions.
