Authorities confirmed that 60 known troublemakers from Crystal Palace were forced to leave the city center. Witnesses reported tensions flaring as videos circulated showing violent confrontations between the rival fan groups.

At approximately 20:00 (19:00 BST), around 300 Rayo Vallecano supporters, classified as high-risk, gathered in the city center. Clashes erupted with Crystal Palace fans seated in outdoor terraces.

Crystal Palace troublemakers regrouped near the Penguin Ice Bar, where they instigated further provocation of passing Spanish fans. A significant police presence, including federal officers, was deployed to control the situation.

The police operation concluded around 03:15 on Wednesday morning, with more than 320 fans participating in the disturbances. Fortunately, the fan fest in Leipzig’s market area remained peaceful, accommodating about 2,000 supporters from both clubs.
