Toronto Man Arrested for Murder After Body Discovered in Cabbagetown Garage

Toronto police have initiated a homicide investigation following the discovery of a male body in a garage located in Cabbagetown. The incident occurred over the weekend in a laneway near Dundas and Seaton streets, east of Sherbourne Street.

Details of the Investigation

Officers were alerted to an unresponsive individual on Saturday morning. Upon arrival, they found the victim exhibiting evident signs of trauma. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Victim Identification

On Tuesday, police charged a 30-year-old man named Boubacar Dembele with second-degree murder. Investigators have not disclosed the motive behind the murder, nor have they released any information regarding the cause of death.

Connection to the Crime Scene

Authorities have confirmed that the accused has no known ties to the garage where the body was found. This incident marks the 10th homicide in Toronto for the year.
