Gregg Allman Honors Late Brother in New Documentary Trailer

Gregg Allman, the iconic leader of the Allman Brothers Band, navigated a career marked by both triumphs and tragedies over 45 years. His journey is the focus of the upcoming documentary, Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul, which presents an intimate view of his life, featuring archival footage and personal insights.
Documentary Overview

It highlights significant moments, including the profound impact of losing his brother, Duane Allman, in a tragic motorcycle accident in 1971. In a recently released trailer, Gregg reflects on this loss, stating, “I was mad at him for dying. You never know how much you’re leaning on someone until they die.”
Premiere Events
Two premiere events are scheduled for the documentary. The first will occur on June 9 at the Gramercy Theater in New York City. Gregg’s son, Devon Allman, will perform alongside Duane Betts, son of legendary guitarist Dickey Betts. The second screening will take place on June 11 at the Grand Opera House in Macon, Georgia, featuring Allman Brothers Band keyboardist Chuck Leavell. Both events are sold out.
