West Midlands Railways Strike Continues Amid Unresolved Talks

The ongoing strike affecting West Midlands Railways (WMR) is prompting significant disruptions in train services. Affected services will operate under a “very limited” schedule this Friday and Saturday.
WMR Service Changes This Weekend
On Friday, no trains will depart after 19:00 BST. Services will resume with a delayed start at 07:00 on Saturday.

- Wolverhampton to Walsall via Birmingham New Street – one train per hour.
- Rugeley Trent Valley to Birmingham International via Birmingham New Street – one train per hour.
All other routes serviced by WMR will not operate, including those passing through Birmingham Snow Hill, the Camp Hill line, the Shrewsbury line, the Hereford line, and the route between Nuneaton and Leamington Spa.
LNR Service Disruptions
London North Western Railway (LNR) is also implementing a “very limited service” during the strike weekend. The schedule includes:
- One train per hour between Birmingham and Liverpool.
- One train per hour between Birmingham, Northampton, Milton Keynes, and London Euston.
No other LNR routes will be operational, including those serving The Potteries (from Stafford to Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent).
Conclusion
Passengers should stay informed about these changes and plan their journeys accordingly. The strike continues, leaving many routes critically impacted during this time.
