BA Reduces Flights to 7 Key Destinations, Updates Customers

British Airways (BA) has announced significant reductions in its flight services to seven key destinations in the Middle East. This adjustment follows the airline’s commitment to adapt its schedule in response to the ongoing conflict in the region, and it will remain in effect for the Summer 2026 season, concluding on Saturday, October 24.
Flight Reductions to Major Cities
The updated flight schedule reveals notable changes across several key locations:
- Dubai: Flights have decreased from three per day to one. The daily service will resume on August 1, with a second flight reinstated on October 16.
- Doha, Riyadh, and Tel Aviv: These destinations will see flights reduced from twice daily to once daily, with expected normalization on August 1.
- Bahrain and Amman: Flight services to these cities are paused for the remainder of the summer season, with plans to restart on October 25.
- Jeddah: BA has permanently discontinued its route to Jeddah, effective April 24.
Customer Support and Future Considerations
In a recent statement, British Airways emphasized its proactive measures to assist customers affected by these changes. The airline has been in direct contact with passengers to offer various options and relief. Furthermore, BA has noted that since the disruption began, it has successfully managed to repatriate thousands of customers. The airline also conducted relief flights and added extra capacity on important long-haul routes.
The situation in the Middle East remains dynamic, and British Airways is committed to ongoing evaluation of its flight services. The airline aims to provide greater clarity to its customers, ensuring an adaptive response as circumstances evolve.
