Saskatoon Police to Implement Check-Stops This Wednesday and Thursday

The Saskatoon Police Service is set to conduct check-stops as part of its Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) this Wednesday and Thursday. This initiative will take place on May 20th and 21st and aims to enhance road safety.
Saskatoon Police Check-Stops: Dates and Focus Areas
During this two-day operation, check stops will be established at various locations within Saskatoon. Police will prioritize the following areas:
- Impaired driving
- Distracted driving
- Seatbelt use
- Speeding
- Unlicensed driving and vehicle registration
- Vehicle equipment regulations
Collaboration Across Agencies
STEP is a collaborative effort involving multiple agencies. Officers from different parts of the province will participate in conducting the check stops and carrying out vehicle inspections.
