This year’s qualifying event took place on the 2.5-mile oval track, where 33 drivers competed for a chance to secure their positions in the prestigious race scheduled for May 24. Qualifying Format
The top 12 drivers will participate in another qualifying session, scheduled to start at 4 p.m. ET. Each of these drivers will make a single four-lap qualifying attempt. The session format will see drivers attempt their qualifying laps in ascending order based on speed, starting with the 12th-fastest driver, Kyffin Simpson.
Advancing to the Firestone Fast Six
The six fastest drivers from the Top 12 session will progress to the Firestone Fast Six, taking place at 6 p.m. ET. This final session will determine the starting positions for the first two rows and award the NTT P1 Award and a $100,000 bonus for the pole winner.
