Subnautica 2 Guide: Claiming Twitch Drop Rewards Made Easy

The anticipation surrounding the Early Access launch of Subnautica 2 has been heightened by a special Twitch Drop event. This event rewards players with an exclusive Seamoth Statue for their in-game collection.

Subnautica 2 Early Access Launch Details

Subnautica 2 transitioned to Early Access on May 14, 2026. To celebrate this milestone, Unknown Worlds Entertainment hosted a pre-launch showcase on May 9, 2026, starting at 8 AM PDT.

The event lasted approximately two hours. During the showcase, new gameplay footage and developer insights were shared, enhancing player excitement.

Twitch Drop Rewards

The highlight of the showcase was the opportunity to obtain a Seamoth Statue. This exclusive cosmetic item is only available through Twitch Drops and cannot be acquired in any other way during the promotional period.

The Seamoth Statue must be claimed by June 30, 2026, in order to be added to your in-game inventory.

Claiming the Seamoth Statue

Players need to follow a two-part process to claim the Seamoth Statue. Here’s how it works:

  • Step 1: Watch the Showcase – Players must watch at least 20 minutes of the Subnautica 2 showcase on Twitch. Views from YouTube or Bilibili do not count.
  • Step 2: Claim on Twitch – After watching, go to the Drops and Rewards page on Twitch, find the Subnautica 2 entry, and click ‘Claim’ before the June 30 deadline at 11:59 PM PDT.

After claiming the reward on Twitch, players must link their Twitch account within the game. To do this, launch Subnautica 2, navigate to the Settings menu, and select ‘Link Twitch Account’. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the linking process. If this step is skipped, the statue will not appear in the inventory, even if it has been claimed on Twitch.

Post-Event Claiming

While the showcase occurred on May 9, the window to claim the Seamoth Statue remains open until June 30, 2026. However, it’s important to confirm whether watching the event through VOD replays will also count toward the eligibility criteria.

As of now, there hasn’t been any confirmation from Unknown Worlds regarding the inclusion of VOD viewers for this Twitch Drop.

Additional Information on the Launch

Besides the Seamoth Statue reward, Subnautica 2’s Early Access launch is generating buzz across various gaming platforms. The game is available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on Xbox Series X/S through Game Pass.
