Chelsea Star Eyes Reunion with Christopher Nkunku at AC Milan

Chelsea’s summer plans are expected to be busy as they navigate decisions involving several players, including Nicolas Jackson. The young forward, currently on loan at Bayern Munich, will not be transferred permanently to the Bundesliga club. Jackson, who has played a backup role to star striker Harry Kane, has made a notable impact by scoring 10 goals, including three in the Champions League, and contributing four assists throughout the season.

Nicolas Jackson’s Future: Options and Interests

Despite his performance, Bayern Munich opted not to activate Jackson’s buy clause, set at £58 million. This decision was confirmed by Max Eberl, indicating that Jackson will return to Chelsea. Although there is a chance he could reintegrate into the squad, particularly if Chelsea appoints Andoni Iraola, the forward’s departure seems more likely.

Potential Clubs Interested in Jackson

Multiple clubs are reportedly interested in securing Jackson’s services. Newcastle United, previously linked with the player, may still be in the mix. However, there are at least four other clubs actively considering negotiations, including:

  • Juventus: Interested in a season-long loan deal.
  • Fenerbahce: Potential destination for a permanent transfer.
  • AC Milan: Aiming for a permanent move.
  • Al-Ahli: Saudi Pro League side, led by former Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, has also emerged as an option.

Reunion with Christopher Nkunku at AC Milan

If Nicolas Jackson joins AC Milan, a reunion with former Chelsea teammate Christopher Nkunku could transpire. AC Milan secured Nkunku’s services last summer for £36 million. The prospect of both players teaming up again at the San Siro for the 2026-27 season is intriguing, especially given their history at Chelsea.

Jackson and Nkunku’s Time at Chelsea

During their two years at Chelsea, Jackson and Nkunku played together 19 matches. While they did not assist each other, their presence on the field contributed to Chelsea averaging over two points per game.

Nkunku’s first season at AC Milan has seen him score seven goals in 33 matches across all competitions. Should Jackson move to Italy, Max Allegri will anticipate a stronger partnership between the two players than what was seen during their time in London.
