Lay’s® Launches Four New FIFA World Cup 2026™ Flavours in Canada

Lay’s has announced an exciting launch of four new FIFA World Cup 2026™ flavours in Canada. This initiative is part of a celebration leading up to the much-anticipated tournament, set to take place in 2026. These limited-edition flavours will be available in Canadian grocery stores nationwide from mid-May onwards.

Limited-Edition Flavours Inspired by Global Cuisines

This unique collection of flavours draws inspiration from iconic dishes representing various competing nations. The four new flavours are:

  • Lay’s® Bacon Poutine: Celebrating Canada’s comfort food with brown gravy, cheese curds, and bacon, featuring Canadian players Richie Laryea and Nathan Saliba on the packaging.
  • Lay’s® Cheese Soufflé: A nod to French cuisine, characterized by a rich, creamy cheese experience.
  • Lay’s® Steak & Chimichurri: Inspired by Argentina, offering tangy chimichurri notes and a grilled meat essence, honoring the reigning FIFA champions.
  • Lay’s® Cheese & Onion: The UK’s favorite flavour, combining sharp cheddar with savory onion.

A Unique Canadian Experience

Lay’s is not just launching chips; it is creating a memorable cultural experience. The bags feature prominent soccer icons such as Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi, and David Beckham, along with Canadian soccer stars. This makes Canada the only country with these players showcased on Lay’s packaging.

Shirley Mukerjea, Chief Marketing Officer for Lay’s Canada, expressed the importance of this initiative, stating it brings a unique flavour of the tournament to every fan gathering across the nation. She highlighted how special it is for Canadian fans to celebrate this monumental event.

Exclusive Contest for Fans

To further engage fans, Lay’s is running the “You Could Win FIFA World Cup 2026™ Tickets” contest. Canadian consumers can enter by purchasing two participating Frito-Lay® products and visiting a dedicated website to upload their receipts. Winners will receive tickets to one of 13 Canadian FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches and $1,500 CAD for expenses.

Availability and Engagement

All four flavours will hit store shelves in Canada starting mid-May, while supplies last. Fans can stay connected with Lay’s through their social media channels and the contest website for updates and more ways to celebrate FIFA World Cup 2026™.

With these new flavours, Lay’s is not only serving snacks but also creating a distinct experience for Canadian soccer fans during one of the biggest events in sports history.
