The heatwave has brought significantly warmer temperatures in various regions. Specific readings include:
- Seoul: 26°C
- Gangneung: 26°C
- Gwangju: 27°C
- Daejeon: 28°C
Today’s temperatures mark an increase of about 7°C compared to the previous day, prompting the need for lighter clothing.
UV Index and Precautions
The UV index has increased dramatically, reaching levels classified as “high” to “very high.” Therefore, individuals are encouraged to wear hats or carry umbrellas when outdoors.
It is expected that this heatwave will persist, pushing the seasonal clock ahead by approximately two months. Starting tomorrow, the temperature in Seoul could rise to 31°C, similar to late July heat conditions.

There may be brief rain showers in the southwestern regions from tomorrow afternoon into the evening, with expected rainfall of up to 20mm. Additionally, light rain is predicted in the Gangwon mountain area today, with amounts around 5mm.
