Mark Stone, captain of the Vegas Golden Knights, will miss Game 4 of the Western Conference Second Round due to an undisclosed injury. This injury was sustained during a 6-2 victory in Game 3 against the Anaheim Ducks. The game takes place at the Honda Center, scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. The Golden Knights currently hold a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven playoff series.
Stone’s Injury Details
Stone did not participate in the second or third periods of Game 3. Coach John Tortorella confirmed Stone’s absence prior to the morning skate, stating simply, “Out.” Brandon Saad will take Stone’s place in the lineup, marking Saad’s first appearance in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Saad emphasized the importance of teamwork, saying, “It’s a tough guy to replace… we’ve been doing a good job of that.” He highlighted the depth of the team and the strong leadership present in the locker room. This collective approach will be crucial in Stone’s absence.
