Weidman joins the esteemed “modern wing” of the UFC Hall of Fame, becoming the 19th member. The Modern Era category includes athletes who began their professional careers on or after November 17, 2000.

  • Retirement for at least one year.

Weidman meets these criteria, having retired from mixed martial arts in January 2025 after a notable 15-year career.

Throughout his career, Weidman compiled a professional record of 16 wins and 8 losses, with 12 wins and 8 losses in the UFC. He achieved victory over notable fighters, including UFC Hall of Famers Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort.

Championship Legacy

On July 6, 2013, Weidman captured the UFC middleweight championship by defeating Anderson Silva. He held the title for 889 days and successfully defended it three times, including a second victory over Silva.

Induction Ceremony Date

The UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for July 9, 2026. This event will celebrate Weidman’s remarkable contributions to the sport of mixed martial arts.
