Daryl De Leon Leads Brands Hatch Practice Session

Daryl De Leon led the British Touring Car Championship practice session at Brands Hatch, showcasing an impressive performance. The WSR driver clocked a fastest lap of 47.360 seconds, finishing just shy of a tenth of a second ahead of his closest competitor.
Top Performers in Practice Session
Dexter Patterson from Power Maxed Racing took second place, closely followed by his teammate, Mikey Doble, who secured third, only 0.035 seconds behind De Leon’s time. The practice session saw participation from 20 of the 21 entrants racing around the 1.207-mile circuit.

Dan Cammish finished fourth overall, just ahead of Ash Sutton in fifth. Rounding out the top six was Dan Rowbottom, trailing by just over a tenth of a second. Notably, reigning champion Tom Ingram, Charles Rainford from WSR, Chris Smiley from Restart Racing, and Adam Morgan completed the top ten.
Qualifying and Upcoming Events
As the session concluded, 17 of the 21 drivers were separated by less than one second, highlighting the competitive nature of the championship. James Dorlin was the only driver not to complete a lap time.
Qualifying is set to begin at 14:00. The participants will be organized into two groups for a 15-minute session to determine their qualifying times. The fastest group will take odd-numbered grid positions, while the second group will occupy the even-numbered slots.
Race for Pole
Once qualifying wraps up, drivers will race in an 18-lap event titled ‘Race for Pole’. This race will finalize the grid for Sunday’s opening race, with half points awarded to those competing.
