Ranbir Kapoor Urges Neetu Kapoor to Return Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

An outdoor filming schedule in Shimla has become a memorable experience for the cast of the upcoming film ‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’. The team enjoyed a close-knit atmosphere, sharing a unique bond while shooting in the picturesque hills. However, the peaceful setting was interrupted by news of escalating India-Pakistan tensions, specifically during Operation Sindoor in May 2025.
Cast Recollections and Experience
Kapil Sharma, one of the film’s stars, shared that Neetu Kapoor found immense joy during this shoot. He mentioned in an interview with SCREEN, “Neetu ma’am remarked that after the film ‘Kabhi Kabhie,’ she had so much fun this time.” Neetu echoed his sentiments, noting the genuine camaraderie among the team, stating, “Those days are rare; there were no vanity vans, and we spent our time together.”
Kapil emphasized the charm of their humble accommodations. “There wasn’t space for vanity vans, nor were we lodged in hotels. We stayed in nearby cottages and truly connected,” he explained.
Impact of India-Pakistan Tensions
The atmosphere changed quickly when the India-Pakistan conflict became serious. Kapil recounted a moment when Ranbir Kapoor expressed his worries about Neetu’s safety. Neetu recalled, “Ranbir called and urged, ‘Mumma, please come back.’ I reassured him that we were safe where we were, far from danger.” Despite the external anxiety, the team’s focus remained on the film.
Neetu pointed out the unified spirit on set, saying, “When the war began, nobody blinked. Everyone was excited about the film. No one wanted to leave.”
Riddhima Kapoor’s Acting Debut
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, another notable cast member, is making her acting debut with this film. She described the experience as emotional and surreal. “It feels like a complete circle, and I feel my father’s blessings with me,” she shared. Riddhima acknowledged the challenges tied to starting anew in her career but expressed excitement about this fresh journey.
