National Night Out Event Brings Festivities and Food to Three WNC Towns

The National Night Out event is set to celebrate community safety and police partnerships across three towns in western North Carolina. Scheduled for Tuesday evening, this annual initiative promises a mix of festivities and food.

Local police departments are inviting residents to participate in various activities, ranging from games to food options. Below are the details for each town’s festivities:
Woodfin
- Time: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Location: 40 N Merrimon Avenue (Behind Woodfin YMCA)
- Activities: Food trucks, crafting booths, a bounce house, and a rib-eating contest sponsored by Bears Smokehouse.
Black Mountain
- Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Location: Black Mountain Town Square (106 Montreat Road)
- Activities: Food trucks, a bounce house, a dunking booth, live music, and games for families.
Canton
- Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Location: Sorrells Park (8 Sorrells Street)
- Activities: Barbecue, bounce houses, and additional community engagement activities.
