Carabinieri Arrest Two Men for Robbing Elderly Man in Wheelchair

In a troubling incident on April 7, an elderly man in a wheelchair was robbed in broad daylight near the train station in Reggio Emilia. Giuseppe Piccinini, 80, was attacked from behind while he was traveling on Via Monsignor Tondelli. During the scuffle, the assailant seized his bag containing money and important documents. This altercation caused Piccinini to fall, resulting in injuries to his legs.

The first suspect, a 28-year-old Egyptian man with no fixed address and a criminal record, was already incarcerated in Parma for an unrelated charge. The second suspect, a 30-year-old Cuban man in the country illegally, was placed under a restraining order prohibiting him from residing in the province of Reggio Emilia.
