From Inspiration to Creation
During her cameo filming for season two of *The Studio*, Madonna spotted a wig designed by Merria Dearman that captivated her. Although she couldn’t take the wig from the set, the head of the hair department suggested she contact Dearman.
Madonna was excited, as she had previously worked with Dearman during her *Madame X* and *Celebration* tours. Following discussions with her hairstylist Eugene Souleiman, Dearman set to work on crafting a custom wig tailored for the Queen of Pop.
A Labor-Intensive Design
Creating the unique headpiece was no small feat. It took approximately 60 hours to complete. This time frame included a quick trip to London, where Dearman had to fit the wig directly onto Madonna’s head.
