West Midlands Safari Park is set to host its inaugural Giraffe Jamboree, a family-friendly event running until May 31. This exciting festival will feature a variety of activities centered around giraffes, providing fun and educational experiences for all ages.
Giraffe Jamboree Activities
The Giraffe Jamboree offers a diverse lineup of entertainment, including:
- Jumping Giraffes Live Show: An acrobatic stunt performance where rangers showcase their skills by flipping and vaulting over a jeep.
- Giraffe Trail: Visitors can engage in a scavenger hunt along the park’s Discovery Trail, solving clues for a chance to win an overnight stay in a Giraffe Safari Lodge.
- Crafty Cubs Corner: A space for children to create masks and leave messages for the giraffe keepers.
- Conservation Station: Focused on raising awareness about giraffe conservation, this area will support the Giraffe Conservation Foundation and its initiatives for Nubian giraffes in Uganda.
- Meet Gerald the Giraffe: A new character from Kidderminster Harriers, Gerald is available for photos and meet-and-greet sessions with guests.
- Giraffe Feeding Sessions: Guests can hand-feed the giraffes, providing a unique and interactive experience.
Spotting the Calves
Visitors may also catch a glimpse of Olive and Namara, the park’s youngest giraffe calves, as they explore their habitat. This adds an engaging element for families and giraffe enthusiasts alike.
