To their astonishment, retired Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron entered, carrying the revered Stanley Cup.

The victory was profoundly significant for the team, especially given the recent tragedy they endured. Just a month earlier, on February 16, Colin Dorgan, a senior player, faced an unimaginable loss. A shooting incident during the Senior Day game at Dennis M. Lynch Arena resulted in the deaths of his mother, Rhonda Dorgan; his brother, Aidan Dorgan; and his grandfather, Gerald Dorgan. Tragically, Colin’s father, Robert Dorgan, was identified as the shooter and also lost his life.
