Cody Johnson has announced the cancellation of his remaining shows for 2025 due to a burst eardrum. This unfortunate injury, which requires surgical intervention, will result in a recovery period of many weeks.

The country music star was set to perform six shows before the year ended. His next scheduled appearance was on October 18 at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. The final concert for 2025 was planned for December 5 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Injury and Recovery

In an Instagram post, Johnson expressed his regret regarding the situation. He detailed that the burst eardrum occurred while he was dealing with a severe upper respiratory and sinus infection. “The severity of the rupture means I must undergo immediate surgery,” he stated, emphasizing the need for immediate medical attention and extensive recovery.

He conveyed that “it is not possible for me to sing during this time” and warned that without surgery, his downtime could extend for months. Johnson expressed hope for a quick healing process, stating, “I pray for full healing so I can get well and return to doing what I love.”

Communication with Fans

Johnson thanked his fans, referred to as COJO Nation, for their ongoing support. He urged ticket holders to expect an email from their ticket providers regarding the cancellation details. This message follows a recent post from a recording studio, where he hinted at new music in the works.

Future Plans

Despite this setback, Johnson’s website indicates that he has concerts scheduled up to July 2026. He has a notable headlining performance planned for Stagecoach in April 2026.
