In the playoff series, Slafkovsky initially scored three power-play goals in the opening match against the Lightning. However, he has been quieter offensively in subsequent games. This shift led head coach Martin St-Louis to make adjustments during the fifth match, separating Slafkovsky from teammates Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, placing him with Ivan Demidov and Jake Evans instead.
