Active Police Operation Underway at Gérard-Filion Secondary School

Authorities are conducting an active police operation at Gérard-Filion Secondary School in Longueuil. The Longueuil Police Service (SPAL) reported a potential threat inside the school Thursday afternoon.

Details of the Operation

Shortly before 1 PM, police personnel were deployed to the location on Curé-Poirier Boulevard. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported at this time. However, the individuals believed to be involved in the incident have not yet been located.

The SPAL has enacted several preventive measures to ensure the safety of both students and staff. François Boucher, a spokesperson for the police, stated that they are currently in an exploratory phase.
