As ‘The Iceman,’ Price has established himself as a formidable competitor in darts. He has experienced a challenging few weeks, failing to win three consecutive quarter-final matches. Currently, he is positioned just five points above fifth as he heads into Premier League Night 13 in Aberdeen.
Experience in Pool
Price has prior experience in pool, having participated in the Mosconi Cup. He demonstrated his skills at an exhibition Pro-Am event at Alexandra Palace, where he played alongside teammate Milan Patel. He secured a victory by hitting the winning shot against Ade Oladipo and Hugo Boyle.
Price’s Statement on the UK Open
Speaking to Sky Sports, Price expressed enthusiasm about his foray into the UK Open. He stated, “I’ll take it with both hands and give it a crack.” He acknowledged the potential scheduling conflict, saying he hopes to qualify for both the Premier League. Price noted that the pool tournament’s double-elimination format could allow him some flexibility.
